Cade
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Cade collects, why we collect it and the choices you have.
Who we are
Cade is a mobile application that provides personalised cadence coaching for runners. It is developed and maintained by Botz Limited, trading as Morph. We are based in the United Kingdom.
What data we collect
When you create a Cade account, we collect your email address, verified via a one-time code. You also provide your date of birth and gender during setup, which we use to calculate age-appropriate cadence targets.
When you connect Strava, we access your Strava profile picture and run history. For all of your Strava runs, we pull distance, average cadence, and pace to calculate your baseline and track your progress over time. For runs that match a guided session you completed in Cade, we also pull deeper data for that specific run, including detailed cadence, heart rate, elevation, and route information, so we can give you more precise coaching feedback on that session.
We do not access payment information or any other Strava data beyond what is needed for cadence coaching.
Your session history within Cade is stored securely in the cloud. All underlying run data lives in Strava. We do not duplicate or separately store your raw run history.
Legal basis for processing
We process your data under the following legal bases, in accordance with UK GDPR:
- Contract - to provide the core Cade service (account creation, coaching plans, session history), we process your email, date of birth, and gender because the app cannot function without them.
- Consent - connecting your Strava account, and any data accessed through that connection, is processed on the basis of your explicit consent, given when you authorise the connection. You can withdraw this consent at any time by disconnecting Strava.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. If you request deletion, we delete your account and all associated data within 7 days, as described below. If your account is inactive for 24 months with no login, we will delete it and associated data automatically, unless we are required to retain it for a longer period by law.
Strava connection
Connecting Strava is optional. You can remove the connection at any time from within the app or directly through your Strava account settings. When you disconnect, all Strava-linked data associated with your account is removed.
Tracking and analytics
Cade contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party behavioural tracking. We do not sell your data.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at privacy@morph.inc. We will action all requests within 7 days.
If you are unsatisfied with how we have handled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Third parties
The only third-party data connection Cade uses is Strava, and only with your explicit permission. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
Children
Cade is intended for adult runners.
Changes to this policy
If we introduce features that change our data practices, this policy will be updated before those features ship. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent version.
